Sherrie Leefeaver is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) at WellMind who works with adults experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma-related concerns. She provides care to first responders, veterans, and civilians, and brings an understanding of the unique stressors and cumulative impacts these populations often face.

Sherrie earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and has received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). These approaches support trauma processing, nervous system regulation, and emotional integration, and are used thoughtfully based on each client’s needs and readiness.

Her approach is compassionate and collaborative. Sherrie works alongside clients to reduce distress, build coping skills, and support meaningful healing over time. She values creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, respectful, and steady; particularly for individuals who have experienced loss, chronic stress, or trauma.
