Professional Counselors at WellMind

WellMind’s professional counselors provide trauma-informed psychotherapy grounded in clinical skill, compassion, and a commitment to healing our community one client at a time. Our team includes Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) and Licensed Professional Counselor Associates (LPC-As) who work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary practice.

Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs)

A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) has completed graduate-level education and extensive supervised clinical training, including a minimum of 3,000 hours of post-graduate supervised clinical experience, and has passed required state licensing examinations. LPCs are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan.

At WellMind, LPCs bring a wide range of clinical experience, including in-depth trauma treatment, crisis intervention, grief counseling, holistic approaches, and solution-focused therapy. Our LPCs work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, veterans, and first responders, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs, goals, and pace.

Licensed Professional Counselor Associates (LPC-As)

A Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) has completed all required academic training for the counseling profession, including a master’s degree from an accredited university and supervised practicum and internship experiences. LPC-As are working toward independent licensure and are required to complete additional post-graduate supervised clinical hours under the supervision of an approved licensed supervisor.

LPC-As at WellMind receive ongoing supervision and advanced clinical training, learning the same trauma-informed skills and therapeutic approaches as our licensed counselors, social workers, and psychologists. This ensures care is ethical, well-supported, and aligned with best clinical practices.
