The words of Karen Purvis have inspired Marissa Blankenship’s commitment and passion to helping families, children, and teens. Marissa is a Licensed Master Social Worker, currently working towards the next step becoming an LCSW.  She began her journey as a social worker by helping foster and adoptive children. She then transitioned to becoming a school based therapist. Her most recent position was a program manager at a local hospital for children and adolescents. 
 
Marissa has experience with home-based therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and case management. Marissa loves helping all ages of  children and their families. She has experience with the following: trauma, adoption/ foster care, mental illness, chronic illness, and attachment. She is trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Marissa believes in connecting with each client and/ or family and using this connection to make change and empower the client and/or family.
