Her professional background includes work in humanitarian shelters, academic research, residential treatment programs, and outpatient clinics. Mrs. Gomez has extensive experience working with Hispanic populations and immigrant youth, particularly those who have experienced severe trauma, displacement, and complex psychosocial stressors. She is deeply attuned to the cultural, social, and systemic factors that influence mental health and healing.
Mrs. Gomez works with clients experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, substance use, domestic violence, and emotional distress related to trauma or life transitions. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy in both English and Spanish and values creating a space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported.
Her clinical approach is collaborative and individualized, integrating talk therapy with body-based and nervous system–informed methods. She is trained in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) through Level 3 and incorporates principles of the Alexander Technique for somatic interweaving, supporting the gentle deconstruction of bracing and armoring that can develop in response to trauma. This approach allows clients to work with both cognitive and physical patterns in a way that feels paced and embodied.
Mrs. Gomez earned her Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from New Mexico State University.
