Irene DeMars, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who provides comprehensive mental health services to children (ages 7+), adolescents, adults, and aging clients. Her approach is eclectic, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Irene integrates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), REBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), RTM, and trauma-informed care to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Irene brings extensive experience in crisis intervention and high-stakes response. She has conducted Critical Incident Briefs for the El Paso Police Department and provided training for the El Paso Fire Department’s Peer Support Group. Her work reflects a deep commitment to supporting first responders, Veterans, and their families; a passion also shaped by her experience as a United States Marine Corps Veteran spouse.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Irene provides culturally responsive care to El Paso’s diverse community. With a background in clinical mental health and school counseling, she also brings expertise in educational advocacy, including IEP development and supporting students’ emotional and academic growth.
