Licensed clinical social worker

Catherine Baeza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Texas and New Mexico. Catherine earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has experience working in a variety of settings both in-patient and out-patient. She worked as a children’s outpatient and treatment foster care therapist at a community agency in New Mexico for the past three and a half years. She has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and complex family systems to improve behaviors and overall family functioning. 

Ms. Baeza is bilingual in Spanish and English and has worked with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, struggle with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, low self-esteem/body image issues, difficulty with managing parents’ divorce, and depression. She utilizes solution focused techniques to reduce behavioral outbursts, including reducing self-harming and suicidal ideations. She enjoys using individual sessions as a safe place for clients to share and grow, and family sessions to enhance communication between family members. She also utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy to reframe current negative mindsets and behaviors to more positive outcomes.  Catherine is dedicated to working towards progress on her clients’ identified goals at their own pace and comfort level.
